Good article...would be best to clarify you need to use powershell to remove the old content database before adding a new one. First run Get_SPContentDatabase -webapplication http://your_web_application this will list the content databases for that web application, then you need to mount the new content database by using Mount-SPContentDatabase "Sharepoint_Admin_Content" -Database Server "YourDatabaseServer" -WebApplication http://your_web_application After this you can proceed with the instructions in the post.

The only way to achieve this, without coding in Visual Studio, is by designing your form within InfoPath, which allows you to filter your data sources as you select different values within the first drop down of Regions.

I recommend you search for "infopath 2010 cascading drop down list" or 2013 and you will find what you are looking for.

When I use the net use command, I still don't see the mapped drive I just created appearing. Other mapped drives work fine, but not one created linking to Sharepoint. Any ideas?

Edit:
Ahhh... there's really no point using the "map network drive" gui from windows. Just do as fade to black says. Open a command prompt and use the net use command with the address of sharepoint folder you want to sync to.

I added a new column to my master site that uses a lookup against a local list. Everything is fine there. But when I try to use that column on a subsite, ALL column properties are blank and the "List or document library" drop down is greyed-out.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Hi.
Interesting, but can't make it work. At the end of the Map Network Drive, I have to give a name for the resorce, e.g. testdrive.sharepoint.abc.com. But SyncToy needs a drive letter for the folder, e.g. Z:
Where did I go wrong?

Instead of creating a case today how could I set it to create a case on a specific date, then recurring on that day every year after. EX: I want to create a case on 12/15/12, then have it recurring on 12/15 of every year afterwards.

I have the same problem and came across your comment looking for a solution. If you found something, please reply and I'll do the same. :-) I don't want my users taken to the source of the lookup when they click the link - I would prefer the value doesn't appear as a link at all except for as a dropdown in the new/edit dialogs.

My biggest problem now is that when I display the value that was "looked up" from a keyword list, that looked up value is click-able and takes that user to the keyword list, which I don't want my users to even know about. How can I get this value to not be click-able?

Good I found it. For some reason IBM documentation fails to explain these steps. But I have two remarks - for paths without spaces there's no need to quote it; logPath and logFile parameters are optional, it will placed right by default, based on a profile location
